The internet is changing all the time. Websites change, some go away, new ones pop up everywhere. And slowly the look and feel of the net changes.
There has been a movement lately to a more personal internet. Some call it Web 2.0. But the basic idea is that the internet is no longer faceless companies trying to get your attention. The new internet is run by people like you and me. It is more personal, more friendly.
Even Google has changed its methods of determining what is good content. Gone are the days you can fill your articles or website with keywords and expect a high ranking. Google is now looking at content in a different way. They are looking at the language of the site and how it is written.
If you are an online marketer, making websites and writing content, you need to pay attention to the language you use and the overall tone of your site. If your content is mechanical, filled with repeating keywords and redundant marketing hype, you probably will not be as successful as you were before. As the internet changes we have to change with it to stay viable.
Copying and pasting snippets of PLR articles or, even worse, of some other article you found on the net is also not going to work as well. No one really knows the exact methods Google uses, but duplicate content is definately going to get you snubbed.
Your content needs to be original, engaging, and leave the reader wanting to read more of what you have to write.
Whether you are writing articles, blogging, or using social sites, the new internet is going to require you to show yourself. Express your original opinions. Stop thinking of the internet as faceless traffic that will bring you money. The interent is made of real people who want to hear what you actually have to say. Don’t disappoint them.
